Passed away on Saturday, September
18, 2010 at Stratford General
Hospital. Alvin resided in Brunner
and was formerly of Milverton. He
was born 86 years ago in Wilmot
Township and was the son of the
late Joseph and Mary (Lichty) Wagler.
Beloved husband of Miriam (Sauder)
Wagler whom he married June 20,
1951. Dear father of David Stewart
and wife Joan of Stratford, Ross
Wagler and wife Shirley of Dunnville,
Joyce Lockwood and husband
Russell of Stratford. Sadly missed
by his grandson Jason Cook. Also
remembered by his sisters Mary
Brunk of R.R. #5 Stratford, Eileen
Horst of Elmira, sisters-in-law and
brothers-in-law Wesley Sauder and
wife Luella of St. Jacobs, Stanley
Sauder and wife Dorothy, Harvey
Sauder and wife Alice all of
Cambridge, Joanna Ropp of Tavistock,
Maurice Sauder and wife Mabel of
Kitchener, Beulah Shepperd and
husband Philip of London, Clinton
Bechtel of Cambridge, foster children
Bill and Wendy Crumb and family,
Ronald and Linda Crumb. Alvin was
predeceased by brothers Harvey
Wagler and wife Edna, John Wagler,
sisters Almeda Klassen and husband
John, Barbara Kupefer and husband
Emmanuel, Nelda Cressman and
husband Harold, Hilda Bechtel,
Idella Wagler and brothers-in-law
Mahlon Sauder and wife Diana,
David Brunk and Aaron Horst.
Alvin was a member of Riverdale
Mennonite Church, Millbank where
helped as a sound person. Alvin and
Miriam took in several foster children
over the years. Family and friends
may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral
Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton
on Monday, September 20, 2010
from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral
service will take place on Tuesday,
September 21, 2010 at 2 p.m. at
Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank
with visitation one hour prior to the
service. Pastor Jim Brown to officiate.
Interment to follow in the Riverdale
Mennonite Cemetery. As expressions
of sympathy donations may be made
to Mennonite Central Committee or
